Different & Provocative
Sukhayan
Kavya-Prathiba
Spardha
We at Sukhayan are dedicated to promoting different art forms. With our publication work, we promote new writers and forms of literature. Along with the publication, beginning 2020, we have been encouraging poets through our annual competition “Sukhayan Kavya-Pratibhan Spardha.” In 2020, it started as a Marathi poetry competition but with the huge response and demand, Sukhayan Kavya-Pratibha Spardha will now be held as a multilingual poetry competition embracing Marathi, English, and Hindi.
With Sukhayan’s motto being different and provocative, that’s exactly what we look for in selecting winners and promoting new poets.

Started as Marathi Laghukatha Spardha in 2020, it has evolved to be Sukhayan Katha-Pratibha Spardha, a multilingual competition including stories written in English, and Hindi in addition to those written in Marathi, to encourage a larger number of talent irrespective of the language.

Fund raising for NGOs:
A challenge
One of the thorny challenges NGOs face is fund raising. There are several small NGOs that are trying to do good work but because of lack of funding, they cannot create the impact they set out to. It’s common experience these days that there are NGOs/partners that are trying to raise funds inside malls. It’s important for us as society to pay attention to the work NGOs are doing but it’s hard to connect people with this work in a setting where they will be receptive. While interacting with NGOs,
Sukhayan noticed this challenge and decided to find a way to help.

This fusion led to the creation of

Promotion of NGO’s
Sukhayan is a journey of bliss! We at Sukhayan not only try to promote different art forms, but we also connect them to a social cause to make this world a better place. Among many ways through which we promote social causes, one that’s prominent is promotion of NGOs. There are mainly two types of campaigns through which we promote NGOs working on different issues.
Publications
In order to publish quality Marathi books, Sukhayan decided to start its own publication house. While publishing books written by established and well-known authors, Sukhayan is also committed to publish books written by promising new writers in nooks and corners of our country and no access to channels that can get them visibility.
Sukhayan is passionate about social change. While it promotes NGOs that are doing good work to address various social challenges, it also wants to open conversations on various topics that are important for us as society and help evolve our collective thinking. To be able to do this, Sukhayan started Matters That Matter – an interview series.
